 | Most Frequently Asked Questions |

We've tried to anticipate the most frequently asked questions regarding our store policies and products below. If you have any additional questions, please send them using our contact form.
• When is the shop open for business?
We're normally open for business Monday through Saturday from noon to 7pm and Sundays from noon to 5pm. We'll be closed for the following holidays:
 | Independence Day - | Tuesday, July 4 | | Labor Day - | Monday, September 4 | | Thanksgiving Week - | Monday, November 20 through Saturday, November 25 | | Christmas Day - | Monday, December 25 | | New Year's Day - | Monday, January 1 | | Memorial Day - | Monday, May 28 |
• Do you accept credit cards or personal checks?
We'll gladly accept credit card payments using Visa or MasterCard. Debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo are also welcome. Sorry, but we do not accept personal checks.
• Do you sell gift certificates or gift cards?
We've got a gift card system in the works and will hopefully receive them by the time we open. You'll be able to choose the exact amount of your gift, right down to the pennies. The cards are made from durable credit card plastic with custom graphics, sure to make a lasting impression. All credit must be redeemed within five years of the gift card purchase date.
• Does your shop offer body piercing services?
It seems like we should, but Tulsa Body Jewelry doesn't offer any kind of body piercing service. We don't have trained piercing professionals on our retail staff. We advise you to find a state licensed professional, but don't endorse anyone in particular.
• Is there a minimum age for me to enter your shop or purchase body piercing jewelry?
No. Everyone is welcome to browse and buy, so long as they can behave like mature adults. Here's a test... can you say the word 'nipple' without giggling uncontrollably?
• Do you sell needles or do-it-yourself body piercing kits?
Sorry, but we don't. The only tools we sell in our shop are captive bead ring openers, closers, calipers, gauge wheels and ball tweezers. Wipe that smirk off... they're called ball tweezers because they're designed to grab hold of little... OH FORGET IT!
• Can you recommmend a body piercing studio or artist?
We're not associated with any of the local piercing professionals and don't make any endorsements. We recommend asking your friends and maybe some strangers about their local experiences. People with outwardly visible body modifications aren't usually shy about discussing them if you're sincerely interested. I'm no longer maintaining a licensed professional list because I was doing such a crappy job of keeping it up to date.
• Can I get some advice about my piercing?
Our retail staff is extremely knowledgeable about body jewelry sizing and material selection, but we do not give advice regarding the condition of your piercing itself and/or health. If it looks a little off, I'm going to advise you to visit any of the local body piercing professionals or studios. If it's looking really funky, then I'm simply going to tell you to seek a doctor or hospital. In the meantime, we highly recommend The Association of Professional Piercers website for all of your questions about healing, cleaning and infections.
• Can I purchase online or over the phone?
We do not accept phone orders at this time. Visit our online shop at TulsaBodyJewelry.net to browse and buy jewelry with totally free shipping and handling!
• Can I return or exchange my jewelry purchase?
In order to best protect our customers from the risk of contracting a blood-bourne illness, we do not accept returns or exchanges for any reason. If the jewelry leaves our shop, we'll never be able to determine whether it was worn or not. We'll only make exceptions within seven days of the original purchase if we can find there was a manufacturer defect.
• What if my jewelry breaks or it's defective?
We carry the highest quality body jewelry that money can buy and guarantee all of our jewelry against manufacturer defects. You have exactly seven calendar days to exchange a defective piece of body jewelry for a new one. If we don't have an identical replacement, we'll issue store credit for the full purchase price. Any jewelry that's showing visible signs of physical abuse or damage will not be accepted for any reason. Some jewelry designs are more fragile than others. We recommend that you consider more durable designs and materials if you can't resist a good mosh pit.
• Do you sell spare parts like balls, beads and spikes?
 Tons.
• Does your jewelry come sterilized or autoclaved?
We do not sterilize or autoclave any of our jewelry at this time. Eventually, we'll be offering this service with the purchase of basic surgical steel, blackline and titanium jewelry at no additional charge. Just don't hold your breath waiting on this one...
• Why is some body jewelry so cheap, and then I see similar looking jewelry that's much more expensive?
Body piercing jewelry is manufactured all over the world using a variety of materials that can vary in purity and/or rarity. Even more importantly, the level of quality control may differ sharply from one manufacturer to another. Occasionally there's something more complicated about the jewelry design, like internal threading. We take pride in stocking some of the highest quality body piercing jewelry that money can buy. We also stock a massive variety of less expensive designs that will satisfy anyone's personal style.
• Do you sell body jewelry wholesale?
Sorry, but our shop is strictly retail.
• Why so many security cameras in your shop?
Sorry if it seems a bit creepy or paranoid, but we've really got a crapload of body piercing jewelry here. We've got several cameras throughout the premises, transmitting both audio and video to be recorded remotely. We don't archive any recordings beyond two weeks without a specific reason.
• How can I contact the buyer/manager regarding a product or service that I represent?
If you just walk through the door and introduce yourself as a representative of yo-yo international, I'll know that you didn't visit my website or respect the 'no solicitation' notice on my front door. You'll be starting off at a major disadvantage unless you've really got some kick ass product to offer me. I'd really prefer that you introduce yourself by telephone and schedule an appointment.
• Can I post a flyer in your shop/window?
We definitely like to post flyers for local bands, clubs, dance parties, artists, festivals, non-profits and anyone else that we think is an asset to the local scene. If you're simply promoting a 100% personal profit-oriented business promotion, you'd better be one of my immediate neighbors! Otherwise, I'll probably let you post it and then trash it a few minutes after you leave... You won't get to put it in our window, but it will go on a bulletin board that's right next to our front door. Business card racks on the other side are reserved for professional body piercers and tattoo artists only.
• Are you hiring any full or part-time help?
 Nope.
• We welcome any questions, comments or suggestions...
